The Sheriff: Amish Made Basketweave Full Grain Leather Belt
Rugged, traditional and built from some seriously substantial leather, The Sheriff is an American-made leather belt inspired by the durability and character of the Old West. Its classic basketweave pattern gives it a distinctive Western look, while heavyweight full-grain English bridle leather provides the strength and structure needed for years of dependable wear.
Each Sheriff belt is handmade by Amish craftsmen in Ohio using premium Wickett & Craig full-grain English bridle leather. At approximately 12–14 oz, this is an exceptionally thick, stiff leather belt designed for customers who want something far more substantial than the typical department-store belt.

Premium Wickett & Craig English Bridle Leather
The Sheriff isn't made from thin or layered leather. It is cut from a single, solid piece of heavyweight full-grain cowhide produced by Wickett & Craig, one of America's most respected leather tanneries.
English bridle leather is known for its firm temper, durability and ability to age beautifully. The 12–14 oz leather used for The Sheriff gives this belt a substantial feel and excellent resistance to stretching and everyday wear.
Classic Basketweave Western Styling
A traditional basketweave pattern is embossed into the leather, giving The Sheriff a rugged Western appearance without sacrificing versatility. It looks right at home with jeans, boots and workwear while still maintaining the craftsmanship and finish expected from a premium leather belt.
A heavy-duty stainless steel roller buckle completes the design. The buckle is attached with Chicago screws, providing a strong and dependable connection while also allowing you to remove the factory buckle and install another compatible buckle if you prefer.

IMPORTANT: How to Choose Your Belt Size
Do not order your pants size. Belt sizing and pants sizing are not the same, and ordering based only on the number printed inside your jeans can result in the wrong size.
For the most accurate fit, take a belt that currently fits you well and measure from the start of the leather at the buckle fold to the hole you use most often. That measurement is the belt size you should order from us.
- Lay your current belt flat.
- Start your measurement where the leather begins at the buckle fold.
- Measure to the fitting hole you use most often.
- The measurement in inches is the belt size you should order.
- If your measurement falls on an odd number, round up to the next even size.
Our belts are sized to the center fitting hole, giving you approximately two inches of adjustment in either direction.

If you plan to wear the belt with an inside-the-waistband or concealed-carry setup, you may need additional length. In many cases, adding approximately 2 inches to your normal measured belt size provides the additional room needed.

If you're looking for a thin, lightweight fashion belt, The Sheriff probably isn't it. This is a thick, stiff, heavyweight leather belt made from 12–14 oz full-grain English bridle leather. It has the strength, traditional styling and American craftsmanship you'd expect from a belt carrying a name like The Sheriff.
- Cleaning: Wipe away dust and surface dirt with a clean, soft cloth. Use a slightly damp cloth when necessary, but do not soak the leather.
- Conditioning: Apply leather conditioner only when the leather begins to feel dry. Always test it on a small, inconspicuous area first because conditioner may darken or alter the finish.
- Drying: Allow wet leather to air-dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer, heater or direct sunlight.
- Storage: Store the belt in a cool, dry place. Hang it by the buckle or roll it loosely—never fold it sharply.
