Phil's Elite is my premium collection of handmade full-grain leather belts. I have been making leather belts since 2002, and I created this line for customers who want heavier leather, more hand finishing, and a belt built for many years of regular wear.

I make every Phil's Elite belt in my Colorado Springs workshop from full-grain English bridle, harness, or latigo leather. Every style uses substantial 12 oz or heavier leather, including extra-thick 13–14 oz harness belts. Each belt is cut from one solid strap of leather with no bonded layers, hidden fillers, or imitation material.

How Phil's Elite Began

My experience working with Amish belt makers pushed me to seek out heavier hides and improve the finishing of my own belts. I took those lessons back to my Colorado workshop and created Phil's Elite as the highest level of belt I personally make—substantial full-grain leather, careful edge work, dependable hardware, and finishing chosen specifically for each leather.

The goal is straightforward: I want you to notice the craftsmanship when the belt is new and appreciate it even more when you realize you have worn it for years and it still has plenty of life left.

Premium Leathers and Styles

This collection includes refined English bridle leather, rugged 13–14 oz harness leather, rich burgundy latigo, and hand-embossed harness belts such as the Oak Leaf & Acorn and Celtic Knot designs. Some styles are smooth and understated, while others are built to make the leather and handwork the focal point.

How thick are Phil's Elite belts?

Every style is made from full-grain leather weighing at least 12 oz, approximately 4.8mm or thicker. The heaviest options reach 13–14 oz, approximately 5.2–5.6mm thick. Because leather is a natural material, thickness can vary slightly, and each product page lists the specifications for that particular belt.

What does the lifetime leather warranty cover?

How to Choose Your Size

Do not order your pants size. Measure a belt that fits from the beginning of the leather at the buckle fold to the hole you use most often. That measurement is the belt size to order. If your measurement falls between available sizes, round up. Review the belt sizing guide before ordering.
