The Maverick is a black raw-edge leather belt handmade by Amish craftsmen in Ohio from 12–14oz Wickett & Craig full-grain steer hide. Its unfinished edges show the natural thickness of the leather and give the belt a rugged, straightforward appearance.

Raw-Edge Full-Grain Leather

The raw edge is part of The Maverick's character. Rather than covering the side of the strap with a heavy edge coating, the natural leather edge remains visible, making the belt's substantial thickness easy to see.

How to Choose Your Belt Size

Do not order your pants size. Lay a belt that fits you flat and measure from the start of the leather at the buckle fold to the hole you use most often. Do not include the buckle itself. Order that measurement; if it is an odd number, round up to the next even size.

The size you order corresponds to the center fitting hole. Please review the sizing illustration before ordering.

  • Cleaning: Wipe away dust and surface dirt with a clean, soft cloth. Use a slightly damp cloth when necessary, but do not soak the leather.
  • Conditioning: Apply leather conditioner only when the leather begins to feel dry. Always test it on a small, inconspicuous area first because conditioner may darken or alter the finish.
  • Drying: Allow wet leather to air-dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer, heater or direct sunlight.
  • Storage: Store the belt in a cool, dry place. Hang it by the buckle or roll it loosely—never fold it sharply.
