The Buffalo: Gray Crazy Horse Leather Belt Strap
I handcraft this 1.5-inch replacement belt strap in Colorado Springs from one solid piece of full-grain buffalo leather with a charcoal-gray Crazy Horse pull-up finish. It is sold as a strap only—no buckle included.

Buckle Compatibility
Choose a buckle designed for a 1.5-inch leather strap with a compatible attachment bar and enough clearance for the folded leather. Width alone does not guarantee compatibility with every buckle. If you are unsure, send a photo of the back of your buckle before ordering.
How to Choose Your Size
Do not order your pants size. Measure a belt that fits from the start of the leather at the buckle fold to the hole you use most often. That measurement is the belt size to order. If it is an odd number, round up to the next even size. Review our belt sizing guide.
Leather Care
Wipe clean with a soft cloth and let the leather dry naturally if wet. Crazy Horse leather already contains oils and waxes, so condition only when the strap begins to feel dry. Test conditioner on a hidden area first because it may darken or alter the gray finish.
- Cleaning: Wipe away dust and surface dirt with a clean, soft cloth. Use a slightly damp cloth when necessary, but do not soak the leather.
- Conditioning: Apply leather conditioner only when the leather begins to feel dry. Always test it on a small, inconspicuous area first because conditioner may darken or alter the finish.
- Drying: Allow wet leather to air-dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer, heater or direct sunlight.
- Storage: Store the belt in a cool, dry place. Hang it by the buckle or roll it loosely—never fold it sharply.
