The Buffalo: Brown Crazy Horse Leather Belt Strap
I handcraft The Buffalo in Colorado Springs, Colorado, from one solid piece of full-grain buffalo leather. Its brown Crazy Horse finish has a rugged pull-up character that changes tone as the leather bends and develops a patina with wear.
Strap only—no buckle included. Use it to replace a worn strap or pair it with a compatible buckle.

Buckle Compatibility
Choose a buckle made for a 1.5-inch leather strap with a compatible attachment bar and sufficient clearance for the folded leather. Width alone does not guarantee a fit with every buckle. Ratchet, clamp, and other specialty systems may require a different strap. Send a photo of the back of your buckle if you would like help checking compatibility.
About the Crazy Horse Finish
Crazy Horse describes the leather's finish, not the animal it comes from; this strap is buffalo leather. Oils and waxes give the surface its changing tones and worn-in appearance. Scratches and bends can create lighter marks that blend into the developing patina. Expect natural variations in grain, markings, and color.
How to Choose Your Size
Do not order your pants size. Lay a belt that fits you flat. Measure from the start of the leather at the buckle fold to the hole you use most—not to the end of the buckle or the tip of the belt.
That measurement is the belt size to order. If it falls between the available sizes, choose the next size up. For example, a 37-inch measurement means ordering size 38. A size 38 measures 38 inches from the leather fold to the center fitting hole.

Leather Care
Wipe away dust with a soft cloth, using a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid soaking the leather and let it dry naturally away from heat. Condition only when it feels dry, testing an inconspicuous area first because conditioner can change the color or finish.

- Conditioning: Apply leather conditioner only when the leather begins to feel dry. Always test it on a small, inconspicuous area first because conditioner may darken or alter the finish.
- Drying: Allow wet leather to air-dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer, heater or direct sunlight.
- Storage: Store the belt in a cool, dry place. Hang it by the buckle or roll it loosely—never fold it sharply.
