Rich bourbon-brown color, a dramatic pull-up effect, and an exceptionally soft feel give this belt the broken-in character of a favorite leather belt from the very first wear.
I handcraft each belt in my Colorado Springs, Colorado workshop from one solid piece of 8–9 oz full-grain cowhide leather. At approximately 3.5mm–3.75mm thick, this leather is substantial enough for dependable everyday wear while remaining noticeably softer, more supple, and more pliable than many of my heavier leather belts.
The leather has a strong pull-up effect that creates lighter and darker areas as the belt bends, flexes, and moves. Combined with the rich Bourbon Brown color, this gives the belt a naturally distressed, vintage appearance that will continue to develop character and patina over time.

Bourbon Brown Pull-Up Leather
The Bourbon Brown leather is what really sets this belt apart. It has a warm medium-to-dark brown base with significant tonal variation created by the oils and waxes within the leather.
When the belt bends or flexes, those oils move beneath the surface and create lighter highlights. This is known as the leather’s pull-up effect.
The result is a belt that naturally looks slightly worn-in and distressed rather than perfectly uniform or mass-produced. Creases, lighter areas, darker areas, and minor marks are part of the character of this leather and will continue to evolve as the belt is worn.
In many cases, light scratches and marks can be softened simply by rubbing the leather with your fingers.
- Cleaning: Wipe away dust and surface dirt with a clean, soft cloth. Use a slightly damp cloth when necessary, but do not soak the leather.
- Conditioning: Apply leather conditioner only when the leather begins to feel dry. Always test it on a small, inconspicuous area first because conditioner may darken or alter the finish.
- Drying: Allow wet leather to air-dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer, heater or direct sunlight.
- Storage: Store the belt in a cool, dry place. Hang it by the buckle or roll it loosely—never fold it sharply.
