The Maverick is a brown raw-edge leather belt handmade by Amish craftsmen in Ohio from 12–14oz Wickett & Craig full-grain steer hide. The natural unfinished edges show the thickness of the leather and give this 1.5-inch belt a rugged, traditional appearance.

Raw-Edge Full-Grain Leather

The Maverick keeps the natural leather edge visible instead of hiding it under a thick edge coating. That gives the belt a more rugged appearance and makes the substantial 12–14oz leather easy to see.

The brown full-grain leather will develop additional character as it is worn. Natural grain, minor marks, and slight color variation are normal features of genuine full-grain leather.

How to Choose Your Belt Size

Do not order your pants size. Lay a belt that fits you flat and measure from the start of the leather at the buckle fold to the hole you use most often. Do not include the buckle itself. Order that measurement; if it is an odd number, round up to the next even size.

The size you order corresponds to the center fitting hole. Please review the sizing illustration before ordering.

  • Cleaning: Wipe away dust and surface dirt with a clean, soft cloth. Use a slightly damp cloth when necessary, but do not soak the leather.
  • Conditioning: Apply leather conditioner only when the leather begins to feel dry. Always test it on a small, inconspicuous area first because conditioner may darken or alter the finish.
  • Drying: Allow wet leather to air-dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer, heater or direct sunlight.
  • Storage: Store the belt in a cool, dry place. Hang it by the buckle or roll it loosely—never fold it sharply.
